Several instruments have already been built using surfaces evaluated using the ILENA experiment

• CENA on Chandrayaan-1
  This instrument is designed to observer ENA flux emitted from the lunar surface.
  
  
• IBEX-Lo on IBEX
  This instrument is designed to observe the ENA flux originating from the heliospheric termination shock and beyond.

• LENA on IMAGE
  This instrument is designed to observe the ENA flux emerging from the magnetosphere of the earth.

• NPD on ASPERA-3 on Mars Express
  This instument will observe the martian magnetosphere.

• NPD on ASPERA-4 on Venus Express
  This instument will observe the venusian magnetosphere.

• The NICE prototype
  A prototype instrument to directly measure the inflow of interstellar neutral gas.
